Looking For Rent Relief? Find It Here

If you are having trouble paying your rent, you are certainly not alone. Here are ways to get rent relief from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s website.

You have probably heard of the “HUD” before, but you may not know precisely what it is. HUD is the abbreviation for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, which has government programs that help people rent and buy real estate. Today we’ll focus on how the HUD’s website can help renters who are struggling to pay their landlords.

Here is where you can find ways to make your rent more affordable and find units that fit your budget.

If you want to find apartments with private owners that have reduced rents, you can use this map. Then, once you find a contact in your area, you can call them to speak with management and ask how you can move into an affordable unit.

Would you like to move into public housing that is safe and affordable for seniors, people with disabilities, or low-income families? Then go here to find your nearest Public Housing Agency (PHA), so you can start the application process.

What about Section 8? This program could give you a housing voucher that can be applied to your rent, so you don’t have to pay so much out of pocket. Once again, you can begin this application process by finding your PHA.
